Like every year, when the harvest of our olives is over, the saffron begins to bloom in Sant'Egle.

The slow manual harvesting begins at dawn and then spends the day at home separating the precious pistils from the flower and drying them at a low temperature to keep all their nutritional and organoleptic properties intact.

A precious spice for our health and good on the palate!

We recommend it combined with eggs, vegetables, sweets, rice and animal proteins.

And the good news is that a saffron like ours,
1st Category certified , it costs only €1 per person because 3 pistils are enough for each dish!
